Jorge Gonzalez and Kenneth Berg will officially clash this Wednesday at UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Ige; however, the preliminary bout was originally supposed to see Timo Feucht make his debut against Berg.
According to MMA Fighting, Berg was pulled from the bout due to his alleged ties to a Neo-Nazi group. Not only did the company pull the light heavyweight from the fight night card, but officials actually rescinded their contract offer to the 24-year-old.
Feucht reportedly has connections to a Neo-Nazi organization and right wing hooligan group, while also participating in an attack on the Connewitz district in Leipzig in January of 2016. A report from the Bell Tower News also revealed that the Neo-Nazi group used “explosive-like pyrotechnics, pepper spray and other weapons and smashed window panes from shops, restaurants and pubs, destroyed cars and attacked people who were present in the district at the time of the crime. Afterwards, axes and knives were also secured around the crime scene.”
Thus far, Feucht has yet to address the rumors over his reported controversial past. The light heavyweight has previously competed in Oktagon MMA (Slovakia), Imperium Fighting Championship, and Brave Combat Federation. It should be noted that Brave Combat Federation also rescinded their deal with the fighter back in 2017.
