Till hasn’t had the best of luck in the octagon recently, and it appears that the welterweight is now having problems outside of the ring as well. According to Spanish outlet ElDia.es, Darren Till was one of five British citizens arrested in Tenerife, Spain on Thursday for destruction of hotel furniture and stealing a taxi.

Sources told the publication that the group broke furniture and emptied fire extinguishers at a lodging complex they were staying in. After being removed from the Costa Adeje premises, the group travelled to another hotel in nearby El Duque, but was denied rooms.

In terms of where the stealing a taxi comes in, a driver was loading the back of the car with luggage, Till and another person reportedly jumped into the vehicle and drove to La Caleta. The taxi was eventually intercepted by a patrol of the National Police.

The Daily Mail’s report notes that the arrests happened early Thursday morning and that the other four British citizens that were arrested have not been named. There’s no word at the moment on what caused Till to create such a commotion. The UFC has not publicly acknowledged the incident nor has the welterweight addressed the situation himself.

The England native is coming off a knockout loss to Jorge Masvidal at UFC London on March 16th.
