Tetsuya Naito officially has his first challenger for the IWGP Heavyweight & Intercontinental Championships.

Back at Wrestle Kingdom 14, former NEVER Openweight Champion KENTA interrupted Naito’s celebration by violently attacking the newly crowned double champion.

KENTA continued to make his intentions for both titles clear the following night, as the Bullet Club member assaulted Naito during the tag team main event at New Year Dash, which has prompted Naito to put both the IWGP Heavyweight & Intercontinental titles on the line at The New Beginning in Osaka on Feb. 9.

On Tetsuya Naito’s first IWGP Heavyweight title reign, the Los Ingobernables De Japon leader quickly lost the championship within a month. Will history repeat itself and crown new champions on February 9th? We’ll find out soon!
