Who will face Oba Femi for the NXT Championship?
Oba Femi is going strong as NXT Champion. Since winning the belt back in January, Femi has successfully defended it six times. Some of those names include main roster talent such as Austin Theory and Grayson Waller, along with former champions like Trick Williams and Moose.
But his potential challengers could be a previous opponent and a Pro Wrestling NOAH star. Jasper Troy gave Oba Femi one hell of a fight. He’s one of the rare talents who can match strength with the NXT Champion, but it ultimately came down to experience and Femi managed to successfully retain his belt against the game newcomer.
Yoshiki Inamura may have not won any titles in NXT, but he’s a hot prospect from the indie scene. In addition to NOAH, Inamura has worked in PROGRESS Wrestling, New Japan Pro Wrestling, DDT Pro Wrestling, and German Wrestling Federation. Inamura is a former PROGRESS Atlas Champion, so he knows how to win the big one. Who will earn the opportunity to challenge Oba Femi at The Great American Bash?
Ethan Page and Ricky Saints hate each other. The former NXT Champion is the man that beat the former NXT North American Champion, but Page did more than just take his title away. Now, Saints is trying to get revenge, but NXT GM Ava is fed up with how much both men have been disrupting the developmental brand as of late. What will happen when Saints and Page meet Ava in her office?
Also, Joe Hendry is stepping into the lion's den by facing Wes Lee. Not only does he have to worry about his lackeys Tyriek Igwe and Tyson Dupont, but Trick Williams is somewhere in the back waiting to get the jump on Hendry. Can the former TNA World Champion walk out of this match standing tall?
