Joe Hendry isn’t the only man Trick Williams has to worry about at Slammiversary.
Trick Williams first title defense was against Mike Santana on NXT. The rising TNA star gave Trick one hell of a fight and almost won the belt, but AJ Francis interfered and helped Williams retain his title.
Last week, it was confirmed that Joe Hendry will have his rematch against Trick Williams at Slammiversary. During this time, Santana was getting revenge against First Class and he finally got rid of AJ Francis in a brutal street fight on Impact!
Santana then cut an emotional promo and talked about being possibly being added to the TNA World Championship match between Hendry and Williams. A couple of days later, Mike got his wish as Santino Marella confirmed that the main event of Slammiversary will now be a triple threat match as Trick Williams will defend against Joe Hendry and Mike Santana.
It isn’t too surprising that Santana was added to the main event since Slammiversary will be in his hometown. Plus, TNA has been building up Mike to be a future world champion since he made his return in 2024. Could Mike Santana emerge as the next TNA World Champion? The dynamic between Hendry and Santana should be very interesting.
