Big news coming from several Japanese promotions, as New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Stardom, Pro Wrestling NOAH and Big Japan have all cancelled upcoming shows due to the on-going coronavirus situation.

For New Japan, the company is forced to axe their upcoming Road To Wrestling Dontaku tour and their big Wrestling Dontaku events on May 3 and May 4. Last week, NJPW scrapped the first five Road To Wrestling Dontaku shows from April 12 -18.

Fans who have purchased tickets for the events will get more information on the refund process very soon. The next big shows in New Japan are the annual Best of the Supers Juniors tournament, which will determine the next challenger for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship at Dominion. The competition usually runs in May; however, the coronavirus situation is still problematic, thus the tournament could end up being cancelled.

As for Stardom, the all-female promotion added several dates to the cancellation list, as all shows up until May 6th are scrapped. April 25, 29, and May 9th are no longer scheduled for Pro Wrestling Noah, and Big Japan has discontinued their Hokkaido tour. The April 12 Ikkitousen event has been moved to June 29 and the two remaining Hokkaido shows will now take place on July 3 & 5.
