Will Kota Ibushi repeat his 2019 victory?

The former NEVER Openweight Champion entered Night Eleven of the G1 Climax in the lead with 8 points thanks to his victories over Will Ospreay, Jeff Cobb, Tomohiro Ishii, and former IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada. While being in the lead doesn’t guarantee an overall win in the annual tournament, it feels like Ibushi is simply on the cusp of becoming the IWGP Heavyweight Champion for the first time in his career.

Ibushi fought Shingo Takgai, reigning NEVER Openweight Champion Minoru Suzuki battled the “Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay, Jay White took on Taichi, and Jeff Cobb and Kazuchika Okada collided for the first-time ever.
