The war continues.
This Saturday, Oba Femi is supposed to defend the NXT Championship against Ricky Saints. But Oba Femi may not make it to No Mercy as a champion. Tonight’s episode is a huge Winner Takes All match. This time, it'll be Oba Femi (NXT Champion) vs. Trick Williams (TNA World Championship).
This is the first time that these two will face each other in a one-on-one match. Usually, it’s a Triple Threat match and Williams always comes out on the losing end. Femi’s reign has been about sheer destruction and dominance whereas Trick has used plenty of resources to get the job done in the past couple of months. Femi has successfully ruled NXT for 260 days. Trick has kept the TNA World Championship for 122. Which title reign will effectively come to an end?
For the past several weeks, Jacy Jayne has been embarrassed. First it started when the NXT Women’s Champion lost the TNA Knockouts title to Ash by Elegance. Then it was to her number contender Lola Vice. Then it was to Rhea Ripley, Stephanie Vaquer, and Lyra Valkyria. With less than a week to go before her title defense against Vice, can Jayne regain some type of momentum before heading into a big match this Saturday?
Lexis King is far from done with Myles Borne. The second generation star got a sneaky and underhanded win over Borne in a blindfold match, but Borne wasn’t going to let him get away with it. This time, Borne and King will settle their differences in a lights out match. This is going to be a brutal battle between the NXT stars, but the real question is: Who will emerge victorious?
