NXT TakeOver: WarGames may not happen this year.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the upcoming schedule for the remaining NXT shows have been revealed and it doesn’t appear that there is a planned event for Survivor Series. The next TakeOver show is booked for October 4, with the following set for Sunday, December 6.

As always, plans can always change and one of the scheduled shows could actually have the annual WarGames theme. Thus far, the schedule for the remaining events have not been confirmed publicly by WWE. Since 2015, the company has always held their TakeOver events on the weekend of Survivor Series and the WarGames theme started back in 2017.

That night, The Undisputed Era (Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, and Kyle O'Reilly) defeated The Authors of Pain (Akam and Rezar) and Roderick Strong and Sanity (Alexander Wolfe, Eric Young, and Killian Dain) in the first WWE WarGames match.

There’s no word on what the plans are going into next month’s TakeOver. With Karrion Kross forced to relinquish the NXT Championship, the main event picture has surely been changed due to recent circumstances.
