Bayley & Sasha Banks Retain The Women's Tag-Team Titles On NXT Before Being Taken Down By Io Shirai

As we fully expected they would, Bayley and Sasha Banks managed to retain their Women's Tag-Team Championships against Shotzi Blackheart and Tegan Nox on NXT, but they then incurred the ire of Io Shirai!

Surprising no one, Sasha Banks and Bayley retained the WWE Women's Tag-Team Championships last night on NXT despite a great effort from the new tandem of Tegan Nox and Shotzi Blackheart.

This match was a definite highlight of what turned out to be a very disappointing episode, with some exciting spots and believable near falls. Nox and Blackheart proved to be a formidable team, with the latter coming close to making The Boss tap-out after locking in Cattle Mutilation.

However, with the ref distracted, Bayley was able to reverse the predicament and allow her partner to counter into the Banks Statement for the submission victory.

The Golden Role Models (that seems to be Banks and Bayley's new team name... meh) will now go on to defend the Women's Tag-Team Championships against The IIconics next Monday on Raw. There's a lot of speculation that Billie Kay and Peyton Royce will win the titles, and lead to Bayley betraying Sasha to set up a feud, but we'll just have to tune in to find out.
