In recent weeks, we've seen WWE attempt to treat NXT as a brand on the same level as RAW and SmackDown. It's all part of an effort to increase viewership in time for the company's next TV deal, hence why Dominick Mysterio recently captured the NXT North American Championship.

Another "main roster" Superstar won NXT Championship gold last night as Becky Lynch defeated Tiffany Stratton to become NXT Women's Champion for the first time!

It was a competitive bout which saw the two women trading blows in the centre of the ring during the match's closing moments. Stratton managed to reverse a Manhandle Slam into a rollup, but "The Man" kicked out and after her opponent missed the PME, she connected with the slam to pick up the 1-2-3!

The title alluded Lynch when she was part of NXT and Stratton's reign has now ended after an impressive 107 days.

With this, Lynch becomes the sixth woman in WWE to become a "Grand Slam" Champion after winning both main roster women's world titles, the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship, and the "WWE NXT" Women's Championship.

The other Superstars who hold that impressive accolade are Bayley, Asuka, Sasha Banks, Charlotte Flair, and Rhea Ripley.

With her feud with Trish Stratus over, we're guessing we'll be seeing a lot of Lynch on Tuesday nights. Needless to say, a feel-good moment like this for NXT fans proved to be well-timed seeing as Endeavor's acquisition of the WWE - which has been merged with UFC to create TKO - closed yesterday.
