Chelsea Green's NXT run didn't get off to the best start when she was pinned by Kayden Carter, but the first recruit of the Robert Stone Brand became the first qualifier for the NXT TakeOver: Tampa No. 1 Contender ladder match this week on NXT with a victory over Shotzi Blackheart.

We expected the hugely over Blackheart to be a part of that match so Green's win was somewhat surprising, but it looks like the former "Hot Mess" is being positioned as the next top heel of the black and gold brand's Women's Division. The match itself was quite sloppy, though, and Chelsea is clearly a little green (no pun), but there's definitely a lot of potential there as she's already generating a lot of heat with the NXT faithful.

Who will join Green in the TakeOver: Tampa ladder match? Tune in next Wednesday to find out.
