Dani Palmer is not happy about this Onlyfans trend.
When Mandy Rose was fired for selling explicit content on FanTime, it was quite the baffling move since WWE was purposely capitalizing off of the former NXT Women’s Champion’s image. However, the company was still under the PG banner and though it was clear that WWE was using Rose’s looks for profit, they haven’t done anything that rivals what the company did with women in the 90’s and early 2000’s.
Oftentimes, when someone is fired from WWE then they have a couple of options. They either continue wrestling on the independent scene. Or they go over to TNA Wrestling. There was also the possibility of Rose making her way over to AEW. However, the 35-year-old took the road less traveled; Rose continued to make explicit content and ended up making some serious bank off of it.
Rose has referred to herself as trailblazer for this current trend, former WWE star Dani Palmer takes issue with that. On The Refinery Movement podcast, Palmer chastised Rose for normalizing such a thing as The Onlyfans route has a very strong impact on your soul.
“I’m here to talk about the trend of WWE-released talent going to OnlyFans. The OnlyFans route, unfortunately, has become way too normalized when in reality, it has a very strong impact on your soul — and it’s a serious thing. It seems that one girl has become the trailblazer for this route. She even called herself that in her last podcast titled ‘I Started the WWE to OnlyFans Trend.’”
This comes after the fiery statement she made about the “evil” and “twisted” Onlyfans.
“Flee from sexual immorality — every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against their own body. Do you not know your bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit in you? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. So honor God with your bodies.
Guys, our bodies aren’t just ours to do whatever we want with — they’re a gift from God, and they’re meant to honor Him. So to my friend, you know who you are — you have my number. Your decision to do OnlyFans is not only hurting you but also hurting men. The world needs strong men now more than ever — strong men of God — but pornography is making them weak. It creates weak men who struggle to talk to women in real life, and it’s ruining marriages.
Doing OnlyFans is not women’s empowerment. It’s sick, twisted, and evil. OnlyFans is marketed as women taking control of their bodies, but when you look closer, it’s not empowerment at all — it’s a trap. It’s slavery — slavery to attention, to validation, to never feeling like you’re enough. True freedom doesn’t come from selling pieces of yourself to the highest bidder.”
Palmer has actually created jobs for women that don't require them to do OnlyFans. As of this writing, Mandy Rose has not responded to Palmer’s statement. It’s unknown if she will ever respond to the former WWE star’s comments. I do think this is a worthy conversation to have as their are harmful effects that Onlyfans has on its creators that is often overlooked because of profits that’s being made.
