Ember Moon returned this past Sunday at NXT TakeOver 31 to stare down Women's Champion Io Shirai after being out of action for 14 months, and the War Goddess kicked off this week's episode with a new look and entrance music to go with her new attitude.

Moon said she's done being told what to do, and that she's ready to carve her own path because she's Ember Moon, dammit (her promos haven't improved, unfortunately). With that, Rhea Ripley's music hit, but The Nightmare's rebuttal was cut short by Dakota Kai and Rachel Gonzalez.

Moon made the save, and the tag match was set for the main event.

Ember hasn't lost a step when it comes to her ring-work, and she looked very impressive here. After Ripley and Gonzalez sent each other over the announce desk, Moon hit a gorgeous Eclipse on Kai to pick up the win for her team.

We expect Ember to emerge as the next challenger for Shirai's title, but she may have to get past Ripley first.
