Ember Moon is back in NXT, and she has her sights set on Io Shirai's Women's Championship.

The return of a former champion has been teased over the past few weeks in a series of vignettes showing a mysterious figure on a motorcycle. The prevailing theory was that it must be Bo Dallas, but the latest video shifted speculation to Moon when the individual appeared to be more feminine looking in a coupe of shots.

Ember arrived on the stage after the Toni Storm swerve, removing her helmet to "stare down" Io Shirai.

Honestly, this could have been handled much better than it was. The teasers suggested that this former champion would be coming back to claim what was theirs and was pissed off about being lost in the shuffle. Moon should have demonstrated a new, far more aggressive attitude, but she just stood on the ramp laughing like she'd seen an old friend.

It's understandable that they didn't have her actually attack Shirai if she's still supposed to be a babyface, but surely she could have shown at least a modicum of intensity?
