Finn Balor is the new NXT Champion after defeating Adam Cole in an exciting singles match to open this week's show.

The Prince and the leader of the Undisputed ERA were involved in a 4-way 60 minute ironman match last week along with Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa, but when the time ran out and both men were tied with 2 falls a piece, William Regal made this bout official for "Super Tuesday II."

The match went full speed ahead from the start, with both competitors attempting to secure an early advantage. After each man kicked out of the other's finisher, it became a race to land a second big move in the hope of securing a victory. That happened when Balor was able to hit a version of 1916 from the top rope, and Cole stayed down for the 3-count.

It's great to see Balor join Samoa Joe and Shinsuke Nakamura as only the third ever 2-time NXT Champion, but how long will he hold on to the title? We know Karrion Kross would have been champ had he not sustained an injury, so it looks like The Prince may well be on borrowed time here.
