The first ever women's War Games match will take place at the upcoming NXT TakeOver: WarGames PPV next month, with Shayna Baszler and Rhea Ripley as opposing team captains.

GM William Regal made the match when the WWE Women's Tag-Team Championship bout between The Kabuki Warriors and Team Kick ended in chaos, with Baszler and her Horsewomen vicioulsy attacking Dakota Kai and Tegan Nox after the bell. This brought out Ripley and several other Superstars who engaged in a pull-apart brawl.

The other participants have not been confirmed, but based on who was involved in the melee it looks like it's going to be Baszler, Marina Shafir, Jessamyn Duke, Io Shirai and Bianca Belair facing off against Ripley, Nox, Kai, Candace LeRae and another partner.

Sonya Devilel has already put her name forward over Twitter, but there's probably going to be a lot of interest from the NXT locker room.
