It sounds like Aleister Black might be on the shelf for a while.

According to F4WOnline.com, the former NXT Champion suffered an injury this past Saturday night during a house show match against the man that defeated him for the title last week, Tommaso Ciampa. Exact details on what happened are unclear, but Black is said to have been hurt when The Blackheart "crotched" him on the rope during the bout.

We're hearing that Black may now require surgery, which obviously leaves his status for NXT Takeover: Brooklyn IV up in the air.

We'll update you guys once we find out more.
