Hank and Tank are making their way over to Progress.
Charlie Dempsey and Harlem Lewis aren’t the only ones who are making the trip over to Japan as the former NXT Tag Team Champions have been confirmed for the upcoming Pro Wrestling Noah show on November 8th.
This isn’t the first time that Hank and Tank has competed in Noah. In fact, the NXT tag team just made their debut with the promotion at Sunny Voyage as they fought Alpha Wolf & Dragon Bane on Saturday. The former NXT Tag Team Champions earned their victory thanks to their recent win over the Pro Wrestling Noah duo.
It’s unknown how long Hank and Tank will be competing down in the Japanese promotion, though it wouldn’t be much of a surprise if it's a good period of time. Hank and Tank lost their tag team titles to DarkState at the Heatwave PLE. They challenged them back on September 9th and the duo failed to win back the NXT Tag Team Champions.
Hank and Tank have made regular appearances on NXT since, with the duo even competing on the latest episode against OTM (Bronco Nima & Lucien Price). They were on the losing end of that match. It appears that the former NXT Tag Team Champions are in their period of putting over other talents. Hank and Tank have essentially done everything there is to do in the developmental brand so naturally, it would be the best time to call them up to the main roster.
RAW desperately needs new tag teams and so does Smackdown, even though the blue brand has the better division overall. It’s unknown if WWE is planning to send them up to the main roster anytime soon, but as of now, they'll be competing for Pro Wrestling Noah.
As far as Charlie Dempsey and Harlem Lewis are concerned, both men are having a solid run this far. Dempsey has had four matches with Noah thus far and he’s won three of them. So has Lewis. Like Hank and Tank, it’s unknown when they’re scheduled to make their return to NXT, but we’ll keep you informed once the news comes out.
