Here's The Latest On Whether Or Not NXT Is Heading To FOX Sports 1

Now that SmackDown Live is heading to FOX, there have been rumblings that NXT will join it on the network airing either on FS1 or FS2. Despite the fact that the show is currently a WWE Network exclusive, it makes sense that everyone involved would want it on television, especially as that would bring more eyes to the brand and fill some gaps for FOX as they prepare to lose UFC programming.

However, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the latest talk behind the scenes is that NXT will NOT be coming to FS1. WWE is said to be more interested in keeping the show solely on the Network as it's such a big draw for them and while there are advantages which come with moving it to broadcast television, the potential loss in subscribers may not be worth it when all is said and done.

There has, however, been some talk of doing some sort of Talking Smack style studio show on one of the channels which would air before SmackDown Live and after PPVs on a Sunday. There may even be one of a Wednesday similar in format to UFC Tonight. For now, it seems the priority seems to be focusing on SmackDown Live and making that a hit when it starts airing on Fridays next Fall.
