Io Shirai will defend the NXT Women’s Championship.

For the first time since beating Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley for the prestigious title at NXT TakeOver: In Your House, Shirai will put her belt on the line against Tegan Nox.

Now that Nox is finally done with Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez, the 25-year-old can finally chase her dream of becoming the NXT Women’s Champion. The Wales native is no stranger to holding gold as Nox is a former British Empire Woman's Champion (British Empire Wrestling) and Queen of Southside Champion (Southside Wrestling Entertainment). Will Nox quickly end Shirai’s title reign and add another belt to her resume?

Tonight’s episode will feature the newly crowned NXT and North American Champion Keith Lee. The 35-year-old pulled off a huge victory last week over Adam Cole, thus effectively ending the Undisputed Era leader’s title reign at 396 days. With Karrion Kross having his eye on the top prize of the black-and-gold brand, what will happen when Lee makes his return to the squared circle?

All this and more is set for tonight’s episode of NXT at 8pm Eastern Time on the USA Network. Check out the advertised matches below:

Io Shirai vs. Tegan Nox for the NXT Women’s Championship.

Damian Priest vs. Cameron Grimes.
