It Looks LIke NXT UK Superstar Kassius Ohno Has Also Been Released/Furloughed By WWE

The wrestling world is still reeling from WWE's recent announcement that dozens of Superstars, including the likes of Rusev, Kurt Angle, Heath Slater and Zack Ryder, were "future endeavored" as part of the company's cost-cutting purge of talent and employees. We found out that several NXT Superstars had also been released a little later on, but it seems we can now add a notable NXT UK wrestler to the list.

According to Dave Meltzer, Kassius Ohno, aka Chris Hero, has also been let go/furloughed.

This is a somewhat surprising development, because Ohno was only rehired in 2016 after previously being released a couple of years earlier. Kassius never received a major push, but he was a very dependable presence on the UK roster and helped get a lot of up-and-coming Superstars over. He had also been working part time as a trainer.

While this is a shame, many fans will be looking forward to Chris Hero's return to the independent scene - unless, of course, he has only been furloughed and will make his way back to WWE at some point.

This news has not been officially confirmed yet, but Ohno has now changed his Twitter and Instagram names to “WWE Alumni."
