Two up-and-coming Superstars made their debuts during this week's episode of NXT, and wound up advancing in the Interim Cruiserweight Tournament with impressive wins over their respective opponents.

First up, Jake Atlas defeated Drake Maverick. The one-time Rockstar Spud was recently released by WWE, and that was worked into this storyline as Drake stressed how important it was for him to win this tournament. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem very likely (although he is still in with a chance), because Atlas scored a pinfall victory after an awesome looking top-rope cartwheel DDT.

Next, El Hijo del Fantasma bested Jake Gallagher with his Samoan Driver after a hard-hitting back-and-forth bout. Afterwards, those mysterious masked men that have been abducting Superstars attempted to grab Fantasma in the parking lot, but he managed to fight them off.

Finally, Kushida picked up a submission win over former Cruiserweight Champion Tony Nese.

Who do you think will go on to become the Interim Cruiserweight Champion? Whoever it is will have a very angry Jordan Devlin to content with when he's finally able to return to action.
