Karrion Cross vs. Dominik Dijakovic wasn't quite as exciting as we'd anticipated (they weren't given enough time, for one), but it was still a very hard-hitting encounter which further put the Duke of Doom over as a sadistic, unstoppable force.
Dijakovic was able to use his size and power to throw Kross off his game and even scored a near fall with his Chokeslam Bomb, but in the end the heel resorted to underhanded tactics by placing his dazed opponent's head between the steel steps and the ring post and delivering a nasty kick. The match really should have ended there, but Dijakovic refused to give in, even when Keith Lee made his way to ringside and begged him to quite.
After Kross locked in his Kross Jacket submission, the ref stopped the match. Lee and Kross then faced off, but no hands were thrown.
We still don't have official word on when that huge championship match is going to happen, but next month's TakeOver: XXX is probably a safe bet.
