After weeks of apocalyptic promo videos teasing his arrival, Killer Kross finally showed up on NXT and attacked Tommaso Ciampa.

The Blackheart was in the middle of cutting a promo on Johnny Gargano, who emerged victorious (with the help of Candice LeRae) in their "Final Beat" match a couple of weeks ago. Ciampa admitted defeat and declared Gargano the better man, when a pair of hands appeared around his chest and wrenched him backwards.

After an off-screen scuffle, Tommaso hit the ground as a leather boot - believed to be that of Cross' real-life girlfriend Scarlett Bordeaux - stepped into the frame. We then saw Kross lean over Ciampa and whisper, "tick tock."

After the segment, WWE advertised a new t-shirt for the former Impact Wrestling star, revealing that he'll be known as Karrion Kross in NXT. Not nearly as effective, but it could have been a lot worse!

What did you guys make of this debut? Do you think Ciampa is the right feud to kick of Kross' NXT run? Let us know in the comments.
