It appears that Percy Watson will no longer be the voice of NXT, as reports are claiming that the wrestler-turned-announcer has resigned from his position in order to pursue a career in acting.  Per Squared Circle Sirens‘ Casey Michael was the first to report the news and the wrestling journalist is also stating that Watson’s last NXT appearance was before the most recent set of TV tapings.

This is arguably the reason WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix has recently joined the commentary booth for the developmental brand. Watson has been with the company for nearly ten years, first starting out as a wrestler down in Florida Championship Wrestling. Watson would continue competing for the company due their transition to NXT, but was mostly enhancement talent and was eventually released in 2013.

He returned in 2016 as an announcer and has been at been apart of the three-man booth ever since.
