Here is a breakdown of the results from tonight's episode of NXT for March 28, 2018:

— Tommaso Ciampa approaches William Regal outside Full Sail University and complains about Johnny Gargano, asking what he has to do to get rid of Gargano. Regal books the two in an unsanctioned match for TakeOver with the stipulation that if Ciampa wins, Gargano is gone forever, but if Gargano wins, he's allowed back into NXT.

— William Regal announces the creation of the North American Championship, which will help NXT showcase the measuring sticks of the industry as the United Kingdom Championship has and so forth. EC3 interrupts in his debut to say that even after his lucrative contract and all of the great things Regal has done for him, he didn't expect him to create a championship and give it to him. Regal corrects him and says that he's not giving it to EC3, as nobody is handed anything in NXT. Everybody has to earn everything. EC3 has to earn the North American Championship in a Six-Pack Challenge ladder match at TakeOver.

— While TM61 are being interviewed at the WWE Performance Center, an altercation flares up between Ember Moon and Shayna Baszler.

— The Authors of Pain defeated The Street Profits by pinfall to advance to the finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

— Cathy Kelley interviews William Regal about the North American Championship match competitors. Regal mentions Adam Cole. The Velveteen Dream interrupts to throw his name in the hat and Regal grants him a spot.

— Lars Sullivan defeated John Silver by pinfall.

— William Regal grants Lars Sullivan a spot in the ladder match following his impressive destruction of Silver. Sullivan thanks him and asks for a match against Killian Dain, who is also confirmed for the ladder match. Regal books a match between the two for next week.

— Dakota Kai comes out for a match, but the cameras cut to a brawl outside between Andrade "Cien" Almas and Aleister Black, with Almas coming out on top.

— Roderick Strong and Pete Dunne defeated SAnitY by pinfall to advance to the finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

— William Regal tells Cathy Kelley he's finalized the sixth competitor for the ladder match and out steps Ricochet.
