NXT General Manager/Talent Scout William Regal Reveals Which NXT Alum He's Most Proud Of

While an argument could definitely be made that NXT isn't quite as exciting as it once was, there's no denying that the brand is THE place to look for future WWE main eventers. Everyone from Seth Rollins to Finn Balor, Bayley, The Revival, and Samoa Joe have passed through there on their way to the main roster and many more will no doubt make the leap to RAW and SmackDown Live soon.

It's William Regal who fans can thank for getting to see wrestlers like those listed above in WWE as he's a talent scout for the company responsible for bringing a lot of huge names to NXT and developing newcomers into Superstars. During a recent interview, Regal was asked to name the NXT graduate he's proudest of and the GM namedropped former WWE Women's Champion Sasha Banks.

"I don’t really like singling anyone out, but Sasha Banks. I’ve known her since she was 18, and the previous people that were doing what I’m doing now wouldn’t even give her the time of day. When I was asked by Triple H to be part of that team, of which there is nobody still here who was in the team at the time, I kept asking to bring her in, to which people replied ‘Oh no, there is nothing in her, she’s useless.’ Sasha was the first person I went to bat for, and her development is a great thing to see."

Given her achievements, it's easy to see why Regal would choose Banks, especially as he's watched her career evolve over the years. Banks is easily one of NXT's biggest success stories even if she hasn't always been used that well on RAW. What the future holds in store for her remains to be seen, but with Regal scouting talent as bright as her on a regular basis, the future is bright for wrestling fans.
