NXT Results For August 1, 2018: Shayna Baszler vs Candice LeRae and More

Here is a breakdown of the results from tonight's episode of NXT for August 1, 2018:

— Heavy Machinery defeated The Mighty by pinfall after a distraction from The Street Profits.

— Moustache Mountain defeated Matt Knox and Brandon Taylor. After the match, they cut a promo, envoking their rematch clause for the NXT Tag Team Championship at TakeOver: Brooklyn.

— EC3 defeated Kona Reeves by pinfall, even with an attempted distraction from The Velveteen Dream, who cut a promo in the midst of the match.

— Shayna Baszler defeated Candice LeRae by submission. After the match, Baszler continues to hurt LeRae until Kairi Sane comes out to make the save.

— Behind the scenes, The War Raiders put Moustache Mountain on notice, staking their claim to the NXT Tag Team Championship and warning them that it doesn't matter who holds the titles after Brooklyn.

— William Regal announces that Ricochet will get a North American Championship title shot against Adam Cole, and The Velveteen Dream will face EC3, both happening at TakeOver: Brooklyn IV.

— Tommaso Ciampa cuts a promo about winning the NXT Championship. Aleister Black comes out, but Johnny Gargano runs past him to attack Ciampa, who runs off. Gargano grabs a mic and says the only reason Ciampa is the champion is because of him. Black nails him with a kick and the crowd chants "you deserve it." Black agrees with Gargano.

Based on the tapings, spoilers, advertisements and notes from tonight's episode, next week's edition of NXT is set to feature the following segments, as well as possibly more:
