NXT Results For December 5, 2018: Shayna Baszler Vs Dakota Kai, Matt Riddle Vs Punishment Martinez And More

Here is a breakdown of the results from tonight's episode of NXT for December 5, 2018:

— Matt Riddle defeated Punishment Martinez by submission. Kassius Ohno attacked Riddle after the match.

— Last weekend, Bianca Belair defeated Deonna Purrazzo to qualify for a Fatal 4-Way No. 1 contender's match.

— The Forgotten Sons defeated Raul Mendoza and Humberto Carrillo

— Velveteen Dream was interviewed by Cathy Kelley, where he talked about his success and how everyone is talking about Velveteen Dream, including Triple H.

— The Undisputed ERA talked trash about the entire tag team division as well as EC3.

— In a storyline medical update, War Raider Hanson is recovering from broken ribs, a ruptured spleen and torn ligaments to help explain the absence of War Raiders.

— Shayna Baszler defeated Dakota Kai by submission. After the match, Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke joined in on a beatdown until Io Shirai came out for the save.

— Tommaso Ciampa cut a promo on how great he is and how he defeated Velveteen Dream. Aleister Black interrupted, saying he plans to invoke his rematch clause, but Johnny Gargano then interrupted that, saying he's not finished with Black. Ciampa played puppetmaster, suggesting a steel cage match between the two. Gargano avoided a Black Mass, but Black then hit one on Ciampa.

Based on the tapings, spoilers, advertisements and notes from tonight's episode, next week's edition of NXT is set to feature the following segments, as well as possibly more:

- Ricochet will defend the North American Championship
