Here is a breakdown of the results from tonight's episode of NXT for January 10, 2018:
- Shayna Baszler defeated Dakota Kai in a quick squash when the referee stops the match. After the bell was called for, Baszler continued to attack Kai, but was stopped when Ember Moon rushed the ring to make the save.
- The Authors of Pain stake their claim to regaining the NXT Tag Team Championship.
- Backstage, William Regal tells Shayna Baszler that attacking people from behind isn't going to get her a title match.
- Kassius Ohno defeated Raul Mendoza by pinfall.
- Earlier in the day, Zelina Vega spoke in an interview about how Andrade "Cien" Almas will retain his title at TakeOver: Philadelphia.
- The Velveteen Dream interrupted an interview between Christy St. Cloud and Johnny Gargano to say that Gargano didn't earn his title match as that was his spot originally.
- The Street Profits goof around with people backstage before talking to William Regal, asking when they'll get a title shot. They will receive a No. 1 contender's match next week against The Authors of Pain.
- Lars Sullivan defeated Lio Rush by pinfall. After the match, Sullivan calls out Killian Dain before attacking Rush some more.
- The Undisputed Era attacked SAnitY backstage. They cut a promo in the ring about how they "kicked the chaos" out of SAnitY. Nikki Cross attempted to confront them, but was held back by referees. Roderick Strong and Aleister Black came out looking for a fight and William Regal made it an official title match.
- The Undisputed Era defeated Roderick Strong and Aleister Black to retain the NXT Tag Team Championship. After the match, they went on the attack with a steel chair. Regal then announced Adam Cole vs. Aleister Black in an Extreme Rules match for TakeOver: Philadelphia.

- The Authors of Pain vs. The Street Profits in a No. 1 contender's match for an NXT Tag Team Championship title shot.
