Here is a breakdown of the results from tonight's episode of NXT for January 17, 2018:
- Riddick Moss and Tino Sabbatelli defeated Heavy Machinery by pinfall when Moss had his foot on the ropes while pinning Tucker Knight.
- The Undisputed Era cut a promo about how they'll be successful at TakeOver: Philadelphia in both of their matches.
- Roderick Strong defeated Fabian Aichner by pinfall. After the match, Strong issues a challenge to Lars Sullivan.
- A video package airs to reintroduce everyone to TM61, since it's been so long since they've competed.
- Lacey Evans defeated Aliyah by pinfall. Afterward, Evans cut a heel promo about how it's time that a proper, sophisticated, powerful woman cleaned house, and she'll start with Nikki Cross, Ember Moon or Kairi Sane. Shayna Baszler comes out and Evans walks off. Baszler attacked Aliyah until Moon came out to save her. Moon challenged Baszler, setting up the match between the two at TakeOver for the NXT Women's Championship.
- William Regal confirmed the title match between the two in an interview with Christy St. Cloud that Zelina Vega interrupted to talk trash about Johnny Gargano, suggesting he should put his title opportunity on the line against The Velveteen Dream to do the honorable thing.
- No Way Jose guarantees 2018 will be his year.
- Johnny Gargano cut a promo about how he is done being underestimated. This is his opportunity and nobody is going to stop him. If The Velveteen Dream wants him to put his title shot on the line, he's fine with that for next week.
- The Authors of Pain defeated The Street Profits by pinfall. They will face The Undisputed Era at TakeOver: Philadelphia for the NXT Tag Team Championship
