Here is a breakdown of the results from tonight's episode of NXT for January 24, 2018:

- No Way Jose defeated Cezar Bononi by pinfall

- Bianca Belair defeated Luscious Latasha (aka Latoya) by pinfall

- Ember Moon and Shayna Baszler have a sit-down with each other, moderated by Percy Watson. Moon calls Baszler a bully and talks about the responsibility of being the NXT women's champion. Baszler says she needed to stir up the water to get the big fish, and at TakeOver, she'll take away Moon's dream.

- Part 2 of the "Who are TM61?" promo airs, showing off their background and personality some more.

- The Authors of Pain attacked two jobbers (Chase Brown and Damien Smith) before their match starts to send a message to The Undisputed Era.

- Johnny Gargano defeated The Velveteen Dream by pinfall to retain his spot as the No. 1 contender for the NXT Championship. After the match, Andrade "Cien" Almas and Zelina Vega came out to taunt him, but after a scuffle, Gargano stood tall.

NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia will be this Saturday, January 27th at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and will feature the following card:

- The NXT Year-End Awards
- NXT Championship Match: Andrade "Cien" Almas (c) vs. Johnny Gargano
- NXT Women's Championship Match: Ember Moon (c) vs. Shayna Baszler
- NXT Tag Team Championship Match: The Undisputed Era (c) vs. The Authors of Pain
- Extreme Rules Match: Adam Cole vs. Aleister Black
- The Velveteen Dream vs. Kassius Ohno (unannounced on this episode, but spoken of in a press call earlier today)

Next week's episode will be taped before NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia. The following has been advertised for that show:

- TM61 return to action
- Nikki Cross vs. Lacey Evans
