Here is a breakdown of the results from tonight's episode of NXT for December 27, 2017:

- The Street Profits def. Chris Starr and Riley Apex by pinfall. After the match, they grab microphones and talk about how 2018 will be their year to conquer the tag team division.

- NXT Women's Championship Match: Ember Moon (c) def. Sonya Deville by pinfall to retain the title. After the match, Kairi Sane comes out to make a statement, but she's attacked by Shayna Baszler.

- Paul Ellering talks about the history of The Authors of Pain, including their tag title reign, their Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic victory and their domination.

- Christy St. Cloud talks to Ember Moon about the events from earlier. She says anyone who wants to make a statement with her will have to step in the ring.

- Fatal 4-Way No. 1 Contender's Match: Johnny Gargano def. Killian Dain, Aleister Black and Lars Sullivan to earn a title shot against Andrade "Cien" Almas at TakeOver: Philadelphia

Next week's episode of NXT will be a special two-hour Best of 2017 edition, starting at the standard 8pm EST time on the WWE Network.
