The “King of Bros” has made a smooth transition from the indie scene to WWE NXT. The former UFC fighter is making a name for himself down on the developmental brand, but for Matt Riddle, why just make a name down in NXT, especially when the Royal Rumble is perhaps a huge way to introduce the WWE universe to the recent NXT signee.
Riddle discussed wanting to be in the Royal Rumble match on the latest episode of E&C’s Pod of Awesomeness, which was translated by

“I know TakeOver is the same weekend as the Royal Rumble,” the NXT star explained.
“And I’ll be honest, I’m a big Rumble guy. Ya never know, there might be a spot open, maybe I can get in there … maybe I make some history.”
“I am aiming for the stars,” he added
. “It needs to happen.”
The Royal Rumble is well-known for its surprise entries throughout the years. Andrade “Cien” Almas and Adam Cole made their debut on the main roster by entering the Royal Rumble last year.
Maybe Riddle will get to make his presence known in a big way in the Rumble match - if he is a participant - by winning and finally achieving his goal of facing Brock Lesnar? We’ll find out what happens on January 27
