The Velveteen Dream has been slowly but surely rising through the NXT ranks, consistently having excellent matches with the likes of Kassius Ohno and Aleister Black.

Now, it looks like former UK Champion Tyler Bate is being lined up as his next opponent.

Earlier today, Dream shared the following Tweet which has resulted in a bit of backlash:



It's highly unlikely that TVD was being serious here, as it's those same "indie darlings" that have given him his best matches. It's almost certainly a work to build towards his feud with Bate, but of course, plenty of wrestling fans out there would swallow a brick!
