Tonight was the first WWE pay-per-view of the year with NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia airing from the Wells Fargo Center.

Here are the results of what transpired during the show:

- The pre-show consisted entirely of previews of the matches for the card as well as the NXT Year-End Awards, which were as follows:


Tag Team of the Year went to SAnitY

Future Star of the Year went to Cezar Bononi

TakeOver of the Year went to TakeOver: WarGames

Rivalry of the Year went to Aleister Black vs. The Velveteen Dream

Male Competitor of the Year went to Aleister Black

Breakout Star of the Year went to Aleister Black

Female Competitor of the Year went to Asuka

Match of the Year went to the United Kingdom Championship match between Tyler Bate vs. Pete Dunne from TakeOver: Chicago

Overall Competitor of the Year went to Asuka


- The Undisputed Era (c) defeated The Authors of Pain by pinfall to retain the NXT Tag Team Championship when Kyle O'Reilly was able to get a quick roll-up pinfall.

- The Velveteen Dream defeated Kassius Ohno by pinfall.

- Ember Moon (c) defeated Shayna Baszler by pinfall to retain the NXT Women's Championship after a quick roll-up. After the match, Baszler attacked Moon out of frustration.

- Aleister Black defeated Adam Cole by pinfall after a brutal Extreme Rules match that included interference from both The Undisputed Era and SAnItY.

- Andrade "Cien" Almas defeated Johnny Gargano by pinfall to retain the NXT Championship in an absolutely amazing match.
