Just several days ago, it was announced that Johnny Gargano would be returning home to EVOLVE wrestling in early 2019.
The former NXT Tag Team champion is set to wrestle on the January 18th and 19th shows in Brooklyn and Queens. Now, WWE has sent out a press release stating that Gargano will face champion Austin Theory at EVOLVE 120 on January 19th.

Theory is essentially a newcomer to the world of professional wrestling as he made his debut back in 2016; however, the EVOLVE champion has made a splash throughout the indie circuit thus far and remains at the top of the division at EVOLVE. No opponent has been named yet for Gargano for the January 18th show.
