Oba Femi has been going strong for 196 days.
The NXT Champion has successfully fended off eleven challengers including former United States Champion Austin Theory, former NXT Champion Trick Williams, and former TNA World and X-Division Champion Moose.
His next challengers have been building for quite some time as Femi got the better of Inamura at The Great American Bash. However, this time, Josh Briggs gets a crack at the NXT Championship as well and the NXT star has been hungry for the prestigious belt since going solo. Neither Inamura or Briggs have won any singles titles in NXT; will either one of them pull off an upset and dethrone the NXT Champion?
Trick Williams should be living on cloud nine since the TNA World Champion escaped with his title at Slammiversary. However, Trick has taken it upon himself to trash talk WWE Hall of Famer, The Undertaker. The former WWE Champion is scheduled to confront the arrogant TNA World Champion tonight.
In her first singles match in NXT, Blake Monroe will take on Wren Sinclair. The world is reeling from her shocking turn against Jordynne Grace at the Great American Bash. Grace tore the developmental brand apart last week trying to find Monroe; With the former AEW Women’s World Champion competing tonight, what will happen once Monroe steps into the ring?
Also, Jacy Jayne is both the TNA Knockouts Champion and NXT Women’s Champion. A woman who was once coined as the most beatable champion in company history has accomplished a goal no other woman in WWE has ever done. Jacy’s reign is just getting started. The double champ will appear and she’ll definitely have something to say about her huge victory over Masha Slamovich at Slammiversary.
