Pat McAfee returned to NXT last week and helped Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch win the tag team titles from Breezango, seemingly establishing himself as the leader of a new faction (possibly called The Kings of NXT?) in the process. Last night at Halloween Havoc, the group gained a game-changing new member.
McAfee, Burch and Lorcan made their way to the ring to gloat about taking out Adam Cole, Bobby Fish and Roderick Strong last week. The former NFL punter then confirmed that he did initially hire Ridge Holland to do a number on Cole, before turning to the men who (inadvertently) caused his devastating injury.
Kyle O'Reilly then walked out to confront the trio, and seemingly brought some backup in the form of the returning Pete Dunne. However, once both me were standing in the ring with chairs in hand, The Bruiserweight turned heel and whacked O'Reilly in the back.
All four men then laid a vicious beat-down on the UE member.
It seems clear that McAfee's new stable will eventually feud with the Undisputed ERA, and we're here for it.
