Rhea Ripley and Mercedes Martinez have been causing a lot of problems for each other over the past few weeks, and that all comes to a head next Tuesday on NXT when they go to war in a steel cage.

Fed up with Mercedes and the Robert Stone Brand's constant interference in her matches, The Nightmare laid out the challenge during last night's show, promising to tear her opponent limb from limb. Martinez gladly accepted, warning Ripley that she has no idea what she's letting herself in for.

This should be a very exciting match, but we're not sure about jumping straight into the steel cage. Surely it would have been better to allow this feud to build properly with at least one standard singles match and maybe a tag team encounter?

At any rate, expect the winner to find herself next in line for a shot at Io Shirai's NXT Women's Championship.
