Io Shirai and Rhea Ripley went one-on-one for the first time ever in the main event of NXT this week, and while the match was as hard-hitting and exciting as you'd expect, we were robbed of a winner when The Queen made her presence felt.

The Nightmare physically dominated the much smaller Genius of the Sky for a lot of the bout, but Shirai refused to stay down and was able to use her superior agility and countering technique to cause Ripley a lot of problems. When both women seemed to be spent on the outside, Charlotte Flair made her way to the ring for a closer look at the action.

Unfortunately, when Io shoved Rhea into Flair, she interjected herself into the match and forced a no contest with a big boot to Shirai and a spear to Ripley.

The show went off the air with The Queen standing tall, but you have to believe it's only a matter of time before she's forced to defend her title against both Shirai and Ripley in a triple-threat match. At Takeover: In Your House, perhaps? Stay tuned for updates.
