Rhea Ripley Wants The NXT Women's Championship Back, But She'll Have To Get Past Io Shirai First

Rhea Ripley returned to NXT last week when she chased Charlotte Flair off after The Queen got herself disqualified during her Women's Championship match with Io Shirai, and The Nightmare made it very clear that she wants that title back during last night's show.

Ripley believes she's the only Superstar capable of bringing the NXT Women's Championship back to the black-and-gold brand where it belongs, but a certain Genius of the Sky feels the same way. Shirai was not too happy with Rhea interfering in her business last week (even though she did help her out at the end of the day), and the two will get a chance to settle their differences next week.

Although it hasn't been made an official No. 1 contenders match yet, one has to assume the winner will get a shot at Flair's title down the road.

Also announced for next week's episode, The Cruiserweight Championship Tournament continues as Kushida faces Drake Maverick, and El Fantasma goes up against Akira Tozawa.
