Shayna Baszler is still NXT Women's Champion after a grueling Fatal 4-Way match against Io Shirai, Bianca Belair and Kairi Sane at NXT TakeOver: New York.

Despite valiant efforts to secure a victory by all three of her opponents and some incredible offence from Belair, in particular, The Queen of Spades was ultimately able to lock her rear baked choke on The E.S.T. of NXT, forcing her to tap-out yet again after ending her un-de-fea-ted streak at TakeOver: Phoenix.

The fans clearly wanted to see Belair prevail here, but it seems clear that WWE plans on keeping the title around Shayna's waist for a while longer. NXT excels at long-form storytelling, though, so don't be surprised if these two engage in another feud at some point.
