Six former EVOLVE talents are making their way over to WWE.

After being in business for over ten years, EVOLVE was forced to shut its doors due to the current pandemic. Back in July, it was confirmed that WWE purchased the ownership of the independent promotion. Both companies have been working together for the past few years.

That partnership has seemingly led to the company hiring several talents from the defunct promotion as Mike Johnson at PWInsider reports that WWE has officially signed Josh Briggs, Anthony Greene, Joe Gacy, Brandi Lauren, and Curt Stallion. Referee Jake Clemons has also been signed. There’s no word on when the company plans on sending the talent over to the Performance Center.

Briggs was the final EVOLVE Champion before WWE purchased the promotion. Greene has never won a belt in EVOLVE, but the veteran is a well-known indie talent who’s a former CZW World Heavyweight Champion and Limitless Wrestling World Champion.

Joe Gacy was a member to The Unwanted – which featured Eddie Kingston and Isiah “Swerve” Scott – and is a former EVOLVE Tag Team Champion. He’s also a three-time CZW World Heavyweight Champion and F1 Heavyweight Champion. Stallion and Lauren are mainly newcomers to the business; however, Stallion has managed to win the Crown Of Glory Championship and Lauren is a former FTPW Ladies Champion.
