The Velveteen Dream is your new NXT North American Champion!

The mega-popular Superstar used the title opportunity he earned by winning the soon-to-air World’s Collide Tournament during tonight's TV tapings for the January 30th episode, and defeated Johnny Gargano for the championship he only just won at TakeOver: Phoenix.

After the match, "Johnny Badass" attacked Dream before stealing the belt and posing with his old DIY tag-team partner Tommaso Ciampa at the top of the ramp. Gargano reportedly gave Ciampa's NXT Championship a not-so subtle glare.
