From the moment that WALTER stepped foot into WWE NXT UK at Takeover: Blackpool, fans have been salivating over the prospect of the Austrian native facing off against Pete Dunne one-on-one.

Well, at the recent NXT UK Tapings in England, the match between Dunne and WALTER for the NXT UK Championship has been made official as the two competitors signed a contract for the bout to take place at NXT TakeOver: New York on April 5th.

Dunne has been United Kingdom Champion for over 640 days and on May 20th, he’ll be reaching a two-year milestone  - should he retain his title over WALTER, of course.

The only other match that’s confirmed for Takeover: New York is that the newly crowned NXT Tag Team champions, the War Raiders, will defend their belts against the winners of the 2019 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
