As tonight's installment of NXT kicked-off, Bobby Roode came out to the ring wearing a swanky new Championship title, and proceeded to berate Shinsuke Nakamura. This didn't sit well with Hideo Itami, who first slapped the champ, before hitting him with the GTS to a huge pop from the crowd.

As you've probably already guessed, Itami is going to be the new number one contender, and will face-off against Roode at the upcoming NXT Takeover Chicago event on May 20.

Itami, who defeated Roderick Strong to earn his title shot, has been plagued by injuries almost since his first day with the company so it's nice to finally see the talented star healthy, and getting a well-deserved push.

Whether he actually manages to best Roode to become the new NXT Champion remains to be seen, of course, but let us know how you think he'll fare in the comments section below.
