Could the era of Stephanie Vaquer come to an end tonight?
At NXT Roadblock, Vaquer became the first woman to hold both the North American and Women’s titles at the same time. However, this situation only makes it harder for the double champion as Stephanie will defend both of her titles tonight.
In the opening, Vaquer will take on Jaida Parker for the NXT Women’s Championship. Parker has yet to win a singles title in NXT, but the developmental talent has grown throughout the years and she’s on the cusp of breaking the glass ceiling. Can she do that tonight on Stephanie’s first defense?
In the main event, Stephanie will defend the NXT North American title against a familiar foe - Fallon Henley. The 31-year-old beat Henley at Vengeance Day to become the NXT North American Champion, but Henley has a chance to cut her legs short and recapture the belt she held for 111 days. Will Fallon Henley become a two-time NXT North American Champion?
Also, two new challengers stepped up to Oba Femi last week. Je’Von Evans and Trick Williams got into a wild brawl against the NXT Champion and now Femi has to work about two new challengers for the prestigious belt. Oba Femi originally won the NXT title in a Triple Threat match, but these kinds of matches are always unpredictable. How will Oba Femi respond to the latest contenders vying for the NXT Championship?
Ricky Saints came across the North American Champion Shawn Spears and The Culling. The dangerous group stepped to the NXT newcomer, but Saints had no problem standing his ground. What will happen between Saints and The Culling on tonight’s episode? The champ says he has something on his mind, will it further his vision of NXT?
