Tonight’s NXT will determine the future of the brand.
DarkState is starting to slip. There were some cracks within the group when they lost to The System at Slammiversary. However, the group rebounded with a huge win over Je'Von Evans, Moose, Oba Femi & Trick Williams the following week after their disappointing loss. Things got better for DarkState when they beat Hank and Tank to win the NXT Tag Team Championship.
But the crack showed again last week. This should’ve been an easy win as Oba Femi and Ricky Saints couldn’t work together, but one interference from Joe Hendry saw DarkState slide back into the losses column. With the group on a downward spiral, will Hank and Tank be able to win back the NXT Tag Team titles tonight?
Speaking of Tag Team titles, Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair are scheduled to get new challengers soon as Sol Ruca and Zaria, Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx, and Tatum Paxley and Izzi Dame will fight in a three way elimination match for the right to face the two veterans for the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles. Ruca and Zaria have been making noise as a powerful combination, but Fallon Henley is no stranger to holding tag team gold. With the unpredictability of Tatum Paxley and Izzi Dame, which group can survivor this iron team challenge for a shot at Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair?
Also, Ethan Page is the greatest North American Champion in WWE history. At least according to him, Chelsea Green, and anyone Canadian. But Tavion Heights hopes to change that tonight with a Flag match for the prestigious belt. The last time these two were in the ring, Heights came out on the losing end at Heatwave, but this match is under different circumstances. Will Tavion win his first singles title on tonight’s special episode?
